National Youth Orchestra Inspire Afternoon

Do you enjoy making music and exploring your own creative ideas? Then the National Youth Orchestra Inspire Afternoon might be for you!

In this workshop afternoon led by NYO musicians you will have the opportunity to devise your own music inspired by Danny Elfman’s film scores that will be performed in a sharing to friends and family at the end of the workshop.

In addition to this, you’ll also get to hear smaller groups from NYO perform some ensemble music that they will have been working on.

This activity is FREE and open to young musicians aged 11 – 18 (Y7+) playing at Grade 3 and above level but you don’t need to have taken any exams, and you don’t need to play an instrument traditionally found in an orchestra. For example, we will welcome any ukulele players or drummers, alongside clarinettists and cellists.

If you have any questions or would like to know more about the project and find out if its right for you, get in touch with Katie at Saffron Hall and she can chat it through with you or your responsible adult – katie.mckinnon@saffronhall.com / 01799 599538
