The Essex Youth Jazz Quintet and the Essex Youth Jazz Sextet will be performing at the Winter Variety Concert.
The young musicians will be led by their resident director, Martin Hathaway.
Last November, the Sextet made its first public performance of the new academic year at the Autumn Variety Concert. After this concert Gareth Bennett, the Music Minister at Christ Church, said “We were really enthralled by the Essex Youth Jazz Sextet making its first appearance at our concert. And we’re really looking forward to the start of a fruitful relationship between Christ Church and the Essex Young Musicians Trust”
Last year, the evening raised £300 which was donated to the Essex Young Musicians Trust. This trust helps young musicians to continue their musical journey. It is hoped that the new concert will raise even more funds for such a worthy cause.
