Join Mercury Juniors for a music open morning

Music matters at the Mercury!

On Saturday 26 March from 10am – 1pm, Mercury Juniors is holding a free open music morning.

Mercury Juniors presents a unique opportunity for Primary school aged children from Colchester and the surrounding area to experience making music in groups.

Every Saturday morning in term time, young musicians aged 5 – 11 years, come along to Colchester’s Mercury Theatre and make music! Come along to Saturday’s Open morning to hear what happens at Mercury Juniors each week and why not join us for the Summer Term? Start a child’s music journey with group lessons offered in singing, drumming, recorders, ukuleles and musicianship.

Carla Hales, Colchester’s District Lead Tutor said “Mercury Juniors offers an excellent music opportunity for young children in and around Colchester.  Our music activities will provide basic grounding in musicianship, singing and learning an instrument. We provide the instruments as part of the Mercury Junior offer.

Through our music tuition scheme, we can offer money-off charges for children from low-income families, disadvantaged backgrounds, and Looked after Children.  We hope to be able to start your child on its life-long love of music-making and look forward to welcoming children and parents on Saturday from 10am.”
