Young musicians aged 12-19 are invited to take part in a unique Side by Side Experience with the National Youth Orchestra (NYO) on Friday 30 October at Saffron Walden County High School.
This free event gives instrumentalists playing at approximately Grade 3-5 level the chance to sit alongside NYO musicians, rehearse together, take on a new musical challenge, and discover what it’s like to be part of one of the UK’s leading youth orchestras. The day concludes with a performance by the full 150-piece orchestra in Saffron Hall.
Participants will explore Dansa Brasileira by Camargo Guarnieri, using specially adapted parts designed to stretch and support players at their level. Places are free, but booking is essential. Sign up by 16 October and music will be sent in advance to help you prepare. NYO Side by Side Experience, Saffron Walden
