Financial support

Thanks to funding from the Virtual School, we are able to provide schools with the options below for every student they have in school that is either:

1. An Essex-based Looked After Child.
2. A post Looked After Child
3. A child classified as Child in Need
4. A child who has contact with Social Care

One Day Workshops – We offer an exciting variety of one-day workshops for engaging pupils in both vocal and instrumental music-making. As well as being thoroughly enjoyable they can enhance existing music curriculum and offer cross-curricular opportunities. These can focus on Drumming (African or Samba), Singing, Rapping, DJ or Songwriting.

Whole Class Tuition/Large Group Tuition – A 10-week programme of whole class instrumental or large group instrumental teaching for a class that contains a qualifying child. This is subject to tutor and instrument availability but can include ukulele, Toots, Doods, glockenspiel or any other orchestral instrument such as Trumpet, Violin or Flute.

Nurture Groups/Small Group Tuition – A 10-week programme of a 30-minute group of 4-6 children who use music making to improve resilience and sense of agency. These sessions are student-led and typically include a mix of singing, playing instruments and musicianship focusing on what students can achieve and how they learn best.

Key Stage 1 Musicianship – A term of delivering musicianship in the classroom in KS1 to support engagement with school and behaviour in class. Singing-based but helping to deliver the music curriculum in an engaging way.

Interventions – Qualifying students with a particular interest in music can contact the Music Hub to see what other services can be offered on a 1-2-1 basis or as part of our Community Music Centres. This may include use of Music Technology, Rap or forming Bands amongst others.

Musical nurture groups

Targeted support for vulnerable pupils in groups of 4-6 students. Small, child‑led music sessions designed to support emotional wellbeing alongside musical development.

Pupils can gain:

• Improved social and emotional wellbeing
• Musical skills
• Resilience and confidence

Pricing:

• £207 for 10 × 30‑minute sessions
• Funding support available for schools with vulnerable pupils

Accessible instruments and equipment

All our instrumental and vocal provision including our rock bands are inclusive. We offer high‑quality individual, small‑group and whole class provision across a wide range of instruments and voice.

We also have a comprehensive suite of instruments and equipment available to hire, including SEND and inclusive instruments and equipment.

Referrals for music provision

Professionals and schools can refer children and young people for appropriate music provision and targeted support.
