Creative Music Scheme: Playing & Performing

Playing together is at the heart of musical learning. Explore how the Creative Music Scheme develops instrumental skills and ensemble musicianship through carefully scaffolded experiences. We’ll look at pulse, rhythm, pitch, technique, notation, rehearsal, listening to others and performing as part of a group. The session will also consider how different instrumental pathways can support musical progression, recognising that successful musicianship does not look exactly the same for every child.
